For six or so years before she moved to Huntsville to be near her niece Linda Joyce lived across the street from me. When my son was small he used to take a huge nap every afternoon, and while he was sleeping, I'd hop across Halifax Road to visit with Joyce for half an hour or so. I loved hearing all of her stories. As my son outgrew his nap I saw her less frequently, but I loved her just the same. Joyce was my good friend, and I will miss her.
